Nano-Stabilization

Nano-Stabilization is a mixture of natural salts and minerals which when added to fine-grain soil, along with cement, produces a reaction resulting in a finished product which exhibits extremely beneficial mechanical and physical properties. Nano-Stabilization simply works when there there are either no or high-cost aggregates.

The characteristics of this structural system are:

  • environmentally neutral - forever,
  • both high compressive and flexural strengths,
  • a long design life to meet the needs of the problem, and
  • the ability to work with nearly all fine-grain soils including organic soils and clays.

Geoweb - Load Support

Geoweb® effectively confines aggregate preventing shear, lateral and vertical movements which are the typically failure mechanisms which occur in aggregates under loading. The Geoweb® system is used for surface stabilization, pavement base stabilization and building a stiff aggregate layer over low bearing-capacity soils. Geoweb keeps aggregate in its intended place.

All Terrain Road Mats

All Terrain Road Mats work when nothing else will work. All Terrain Road Mats, by ATR Manufacturing Inc., will get you where you want to go, over and over. The ATR Mat is an advance, high-strength composite which has a specific gravity less than 0.5. Its long-term durability with easily assembly and disassembly allows it to be used many, many times resulting in a very cost-effective site-access system.

GeoTerra

GeoTerra® is an excellent temporary load support system for use when soil conditions are less sever and predictable. GeoTerra is manufactured by Presto Geosystems. It is a durable, reusable and economical system for oil and gas sites, helipads, and construction access.

Geoweb Slope and Channel Stabilization System

The Geoweb® Slope and Channel Stabilization System, by Presto Geosystems, structurally confines various surface materials so they can be used to solve unique problems with desired outcomes. Typical confined materials are topsoil, aggregates, soil-cement and concrete.

Via Tiguano - Ecuador

1993 through current times

Presto Geoweb® cellular confinement reinforcement of oil exploration roads was introduced into Latin America by Daniel Senf in 1992 and the methodology has been refined by Geosolutions Synthetics S.A. of Ecuador over subsequent years.

This system one of the preferred method for construction by many oil companies when aggregates are available.

Stone Cutters Island - Hong Kong

1994/95

Installation of 8,000 square meters of Presto Geoweb® cellular confinement system which was used for sand stabilization. Loading is from a 200 metric ton crane used to extract ships from the harbor. Project owner is the Hong Kong Harbor Police.

Porto Primavera Dam - Sao Paulo, Brazil

1998

Surface stabilization using 11 km of concrete filled Presto Geoweb® was required during the construction process of the Porto Primavera Dam. Water level remained at the protected elevation for two years during the completion of the hydro-electric plant.

Port of Callao - ENAPU - Callao, Peru

April 2005

This 60,000 square meter container storage area used a double layer of the Presto Geoweb® cellular confinement system for stabilization. Daniel Senf provided design recommendations and construction over-sight.

Geoweb Test Installation - Naciones Unidas, Nicaragua

May 2014

An important industrial road built over black cotton soils on the east side of Lusaka, Zambia needed repair. Daniel Senf provided the on-site design and construction support for the installation of the Geoweb® system for Presto Products Company and the people of Zambia.

GeoTerra Road Surface Stabilization - Near 39º 43’ S x 75º 54’ W - Ecuador

June 2012

The GeoTerra system is a good surface stabilization system when and where soil strength can be defined and maintained. It is light weight and easily transported into remote areas. Daniel Senf played key rolls in the design and installation of this project.

Geoweb Test Installation - Kampala, Uganda

May 2012

South of Kampala, Uganda, a road passing over river deposit silts and clays needed repair. Daniel Senf provided the on-site design and construction support for the installation of the Geoweb® system for Presto Products Company and the people of Uganda.

Gold Mine, Honduras

2009

Stabilization of mine tailing pile downslope channels is easily done with a grouted aggregate and Presto’s Geoweb® cellular confinement system over a geomembrane. Design and construction details were provided by Daniel Senf.

Railroad Stabilization - Colombia (NDA Project)

February 2009

An NDA prevents disclosure of this client. This track received approximately 175,000 metric tons of loading per day. Weekly maintenance was required to keep track level and train movement safe.

After repair, no maintenance has been done for four year and counting.

Drilling Platforms - Urucu, Brazil

September - October 2007

The GeoTerra® system was used to stabilization of one of many exploration platform in the Amazon Basin. Daniel Senf provided product development and design support. This is one methodology used when aggregates are not available.

Plataforma Kupiterm - Ecuador

2006

Where aggregate is present, cellular confinement stabilization is used in much of the Amazon Basin. This system was first used and refined through the work of Geosolutions Synthetic S.A. of Ecuador and the support of Daniel Senf.

Cleveland Hopkins Airport De-Icing Pad - Ohio

September 2005

132,000 square meters of Presto Geoweb® cellular confinement system was used to develop a structural drainage layer for a new de-icing pad. Design and construction-training support was provided through Daniel Senf to the local consultant and contractor.
